Today’s post is the first in my “day trippin'” series which will showcase some of the beautiful parks, shops, neighbourhoods, etc. that are quite literally on my doorstep. Downtown Vancouver – among other destinations – is less than an hour away and completely reachable within my childrens’ school days. I drop them off, pick up a friend and off we go. This is all win-win as the saying goes. I will get to spend time with beloved friends, visit places I already love or have been wanting to love, have something more than mundane house elf chores to blog about and, with a little luck… *fingers crossed*… my photography will improve in the process.
One of my most-often visited Vancouver locales is Southlands Nursery. It is smack-dab in the middle of a beautiful equestrian neighbourhood and is G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S. They have a wide selection of native, as well as rare, plants in addition to the seasonal standard fare. I usually leave with purchases, but always leave freshly inspired to get my hands dirty. Enjoy!
